My Approach to Numerology

Numerology has been a place for me to find answers for more than thirty years.

When I first had my chart read, it brought me indescribable comfort. It reflected me with remarkable accuracy and gave me a deep sense that I was part of something larger—that nothing in my life had been an accident.

A life-changing Reiki session led me back to my own numerology chart.

It also opened me intuitively in a way I had never experienced before. I began receiving guidance from my Spirit Guides, who encouraged me to look beyond what I had learned and explore the numbers more deeply.

What began as a desire to better understand what I was experiencing gradually became a much deeper exploration of numerology itself.

The more I explored my own chart—and followed the guidance I was receiving—the more I realized there was another layer waiting to be understood.

I Thought I Knew What I Was Looking For

I knew I was approaching a Pinnacle 11 and a Period Cycle 22—both Master Numbers associated with profound spiritual evolution. I assumed everything I was experiencing was simply preparing me for those cycles.

In traditional Numerology, only 11, 22, and 33 are recognized as Master Numbers. Those are the only double digits that aren't automatically reduced during calculation.

But I couldn't dismiss what I kept seeing.

11. 22. 33. 44. 55. 66. 77. 88. 99.

On clocks. License plates. Everywhere I looked.

The repetition became too consistent to ignore. Something was asking for my attention.

Starting with my own chart, I calculated every number by hand.

But I Did Not Expect What I Found

According to the app I was using, I was in a Personal Year 4.

My own calculations revealed a Personal Year 22—a Master Builder year.

My current Pinnacle appeared to be a 5, but the full number before reduction was 77, a Master Number associated with spiritual awakening.

I had assumed I was being prepared for the profound spiritual cycles ahead of me.

Instead, I discovered I was already living one.

That discovery led me to look at my entire chart differently.

When I mapped my core numbers into their own chart, I found Master Numbers woven throughout.

11 — The Spiritual Messenger
22 — The Master Builder
77 — The Spiritual Sage
99 — The Universal Humanitarian

And it Didn't Stop There

Each time I thought I had reached the end of the journey, my Spirit Guides would reveal another layer of understanding—one that challenged me to look at charts differently. As I tested each new insight, the patterns continued to prove themselves.

Arrows of Individuality

I was shown that what is missing from a chart can be just as influential as what is present. The absence of certain numbers creates patterns that shape personality, behaviour, and growth just as powerfully as the numbers themselves.

Core Number Chart

I was then guided to place the Core Numbers into their own chart. That single change revealed additional Master Numbers, Arrows of Individuality, Repeating Numbers, and Isolated Numbers—insights that would have remained hidden using traditional methods.

Planes of Expression

The guidance continued with the Planes of Expression. I was shown a different way of organizing the chart that more accurately reflected how people naturally express their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual energy. As I applied it to chart after chart, the patterns became impossible to ignore.

Diamond of Life

Then came the Diamond of Life—a system I had never encountered before. It revealed the timing of our lives with a level of depth and precision that completely transformed my understanding of Numerology. More than anything else, it reinforced my belief that our lives unfold with purpose, and that even the timing of our experiences is part of something much greater.

Then I Ran Into Something I Couldn't Explain

A close friend and I are both Life Path 8s—a number traditionally associated with leadership, ambition, and material success.

I had lived the 8 energy in a textbook way. My career had been devoted to leadership, developing others, and helping people grow toward success and fulfillment.

My friend, on the other hand, is a teacher. She has no desire to move into administration. Her passion is being in the classroom, working directly with children, loving them for who they are, and helping them grow.

When I sent her a Numerology Profile, she told me her stomach dropped as she read about her Life Path.

"This isn't me."

Everything else in her profile resonated. It was only her Life Path that didn't.

I couldn't understand how two people with the same Life Path could express it so differently.

That question led me to another friend's chart—a Life Path 9.

He had a deep desire to help those less fortunate, but his chart was dominated by 7s—numbers associated with solitude, introspection, and deep thought. While his heart was drawn toward service, he often found himself thinking, reflecting, and searching rather than acting.

Meanwhile, my Life Path 8 friend—the one who didn't resonate with her 8—was naturally living what looked much more like the mission of a 9.

That comparison became the first breakthrough.

Her 8 energy wasn't misplaced. It was providing the determination and drive to fulfill the humanitarian calling reflected elsewhere in her chart.

For my Life Path 9 friend, the absence of numbers like the 8 meant he could deeply desire to help others, but had less energetic support to turn that desire into action.

This lead me to interpreting core numbers through the lens of the Life Path—understanding how the surrounding numbers support, challenge, or redirect that central mission. A chart isn’t a collection of separate parts. It’s a team. And each number plays a role in helping you become more of who you already are.

But another realization soon followed.

My friend wasn't rejecting the 8.

She was rejecting one expression of the 8.

She resonated deeply with its resilience, determination, and desire to contribute to something greater than herself. What didn't resonate were the repeated descriptions of ambition, financial success, authority, and leadership.

That's when I realized that every number has a much broader range of expression than I had understood.

Each number contains balanced, over-expressed, and under-expressed qualities. The same Life Path can look very different from one person to the next— because different aspects of that number are being expressed.

Avoiding leadership can be just as much an expression of the 8 as stepping confidently into it. The question isn't whether someone has the energy of the 8. The question is how that energy is being lived.
